Job Title: The Accountant I
Job Description: The Accountant I is an entry-level position responsible for assisting the finance/accounting department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. This position reports to the accounting manager.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department
- Establish records of accounts and input entries into proper accounts
- Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies
- Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and payroll
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role or related field
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Organized, dependable and detail oriented
