In many food or chemical processing plants, cleaning tanks and equipment is not always an easy task. The STVM® Hosedown Station solves this by delivering high temperature water using a unique vortex mixing valve, steam and water combine to form a constant stream of water at a designated temperature. The valve throttles open or closed based on output temperature and essentially eliminates the hose full of steam problem that is often encountered. Easily field serviceable, the mixing valve offers a resistance to mineral and scale buildup as well as quiet operation, reducing stress on the operator and increasing safety.
Around the world, plumbing codes state that temperature coming out of drains must be below 140°F (60°C). Discharge from boiler blowdowns, autoclaves, commercial dishwashers or any other piece of equipment that expels high temperature water or steam, causes problems with PVC pipes and other safety and environmental issues. When you place our drain tempering valve ahead of the drain you are guaranteed that temperature will always be below the legal and safe limit.
Steam tracing exposed pipes is the simplest way to keep exposed pipes from freezing. Our US series of valves can senses the ambient or surface temperature and regulates the flow of steam, gas, or other fluid to keep your pipes working. US/A valves sense the ambient temperatures and US/S valves sense the pipe’s surface temperature. TV/HAT valves act as a steam trap and discharge condensate well below the steam temperature, eliminating live steam loss.
